Frequently Asked Questions

How do you know when it's time to call on the services of a professional dog obedience trainer?

Some folks realize right from the beginning that getting that new dog will be as well-behaved as they'd like requires special knowledge and skills that they don't have.  Others are slower to come to that conclusion... usually after Rover has destroyed the second living room chair!

When is the best time to begin dog obedience training?

Dogs learn more in the first six months of their lives than they will for the remainder of their life span!  The optimal learning period is between 7 and 20 weeks.  With this in mind, it's obvious that you can begin training your new puppy as soon as you bring him home, with formal obedience training beginning at three months.
